period question

Hey ladies,

I am on day 65 of this cycle (miscarriage cycle) I called my dr a week and a half ago and they told me to call back in 2 weeks... I am calling back on Friday... My question is how long does the medicine take to make your period come and if yOU had to take medicine to get your period did you get your next period in a normal amount of time?  

Obviously I am not ovulating... does this mean my body wont ovulate regularly anymore or did the M/C just confuse it. 

Sorry if this does not make sence and thank you in advance.

After my first two losses my periods came back to their regular length right away. After my ectopic in april my first two cycles were really long and luckily now they are back to normal. I haven't taken medication to get af to come, but I was close to it last time, af decided to arrive before my dr appt. I think sometimes cycles after a m/c can be really crazy, I'm sure your cycles will return to normal soon.

I'm guessing he may give you a Rx for provera?  I've not been on provera but from what I've seen on tb boards, most people start their period within 2-5 days of finishing their last of ten pills.  I'm sorry you're stuck in this limbo of waiting to get started again  

Personally, if it was me, I would call back Thursday morning.  I know with my doctors, they sometimes do not get back to me until the next day (because the NP runs everything by the doctor as they should) and if you call on Friday, you may end up having to wait until Monday for an answer.  Good luck hon and keep us updated

I have not had to use medication to start a period, so I am no help there.  I would call the Dr today or tomorrow, if they don't get to you Friday, you may have to wait until after the weekend for the rx.  As far as ovulation, it is very common to not O after a mc, your cycles may be messed up for a little while, but everything should return to "normal".  HTH

When I had to call about getting provera, they made me come in and take a pregnancy test first. I got the script that day. I took the pill for 10 days, and AF showed on the 3rd day after taking my last pill.

After my two annovulatory cycles, I started ovulating again. Sometimes our bodies just need a break. It should ovulate again! I wouldn't worry about that.

On my first cycle, I didn't ovulate until day 65 (AF started cd77). My cycles were long again for the next couple and I took prometrium to end one. AF came 11 days after starting the pills. My next cyle was regular again. GL!

I had to take provera after losing Eliott.  I think I took it for about 5 days and then I got my period a few days after stopping it.

It took me 10 days of the meds to get my period but they told me it can take up to 2 weeks after the 10th pill. Ihope you get your period soon. How frustrating!!!
