Ditto everyone else on every item with one addition: DS1 will be three in January and any type of ball is an instant hit also (or bat, or tennis racket, or pop up soccer goal for the yard, basketball hoop, etc.).

Agree with trains and trucks. DS also started with superheroes when he turned 3...batman, superman, etc. Oh..and dinosaurs too!
