I still have a ton of Thanksgiving leftovers in the fridge. While I'm T-day'd out I don't want to waste it. How long will they last in the fridge? Thanks!
My trash pick up is Thursday so Wednesday night I'm cleaning out my fridge. But I haven't eaten any leftovers since Sunday. I can't wait to get rid of that food.
Not sure, technically, but I tend to err on the side of 'throw it out' after about 4-5 days. So that would be today.
In the office where I used to work, we would do a potluck Thanksgiving lunch on the Mon or Tues before and, inevitably, somebody would drag the gnarled turkey out of the fridge every day for lunch for what seemed like weeks. The other associates & I would make over/under bets on how many days somebody would eat on it.
If you've got a food saver, you could also shrink wrap the food and then shove it in the freezer. My IL's did that for us last year when it was still kind of hard for us to cook because we were exhausted with DS.
We put our turkey, stuffing and corn casserole in the freezer yesterday. We're finishing the applesauce tonight. Anything else is getting tossed today.
No siggy pic until TB gets rid of Twitter and FB links
