Hey, I'm a FTM and wondering, what's the difference between a Jumper (Jumperoo?) and a Exersaucer? I have an exersaucer that I haven't used yet since LO is only 11wks old, but I've seen the jumpers at BRU and BBB and was wondering if I should get one... Any benefits compared to the exersaucer? Can LO use it sooner? Thanks!
Re: Difference between a Jumper and a Exersaucer? Do you need both?
The jumperoo's main benefit it that it is basically a seat mounted on springs so they can jump and bounce which DS loves. The jumperoo has toys on it too but usually the toys are better on the exersaucers. Originally I would say I should've gotten an exersaucer since DS just liked to play with the toys and didn't bounce but eventually he learned to bounce and it is like the greatest thing ever to him so I am happy with the jumperoo. Since you aren't going to have them in any kind of stationery entertainer for that long per day I would say that getting both is overkill unless you have plenty of funds and plenty of space. Like any baby product you only use it for a few months. We are still under on height and weight but now that he is a crawling machine his interest in being trapped in the jumperoo is very limited, he'll do some quick excited bouncing, check out all the toys, then he is ready to get out and start exploring again.
