1. I narrowed our list of rental houses down to 4 last night, I need to schedule viewings so we can make a decision and sign a lease.
2. One of the rental properties we are looking at is a horse property and the owner allows animals without an extra deposit/rent, this is the one we are most interested in.
3. I am on a no chemicals kick right now, J thinks I'm wierd but I'm going to save her money and keep our family healthier.
4. Our foster license expires tomorrow, I hope a SW can get out here today to check the last of the inspection stuff off the list so we don't have a period where we can't take children.
5. Our house has stayed relatively clean lately which means my stress level is lower.
6. I no-poo'd for the first time yesterday, my hair feels amazing.
7. A has been fascinated with my Cricut so we got her the CuttleBug Kids for Christmas so she can have her own.
8. I've been bummed about not being able to take the infant when we were in San Fran, I feel like it's going to be forever before we get another call.
9. Iz and I have been in a really good place for the past 2-3 days, I think it's because J has started backing me up and Iz sees the united front.
10. I went through ABC Family last night and set all of the Christmas shows and movies to record for the girls, I was so excited to see How the Grinch Stole Christmas coming up in a couple days.
1. I keep forgetting my make up in DW's car. which means I've gone the past 2 days with no make up. very frightening.
2. Today I sent RB off to "school" with 15 pairs of underwear, 6 pairs of pants, 4 pairs of socks, and 2 pairs of shoes. i guess we are really doing this PTing thing!
3. i cant believe how quickly hanukkah and christmas are coming up - i sooo dont feel ready.
4. i really need to spend some time putting together photobooks.
5. and cleaning my house. ugh. i need 10 more hours in every day
6. DW took the older kids to My Gym last night while Daisy and I stayed home. It was so nice to have a leisurely bed time routine with no one else needing my attention. I was able to rock her to sleep without any distractions and it was heavenly.
7. i need to make an appointment for the kids' christmas pics...
8. A $254M powerball ticket was sold in CT. the 3 owners recently came forward to claim it. turns out they are wealthy business owners who live in one of the most affluent towns in CT.
9. life isnt fair.
10. speaking of which, Sprout has recently picked up the expression "That's not fair!". its so annoying. And what's more annoying is how much i sound like my mother when i respond, "do you really know what's not fair? some kids dont have any toys/food/clothes at all - that's not fair."
10. speaking of which, Sprout has recently picked up the expression "That's not fair!". its so annoying. And what's more annoying is how much i sound like my mother when i respond, "do you really know what's not fair? some kids dont have any toys/food/clothes at all - that's not fair."
We've been saying this a lot lately with the girls "I want THAT!" comments, I feel for you.
1. Poor little N is grunting and straining like crazy. We haven't slept in two nights because of it. He is so unbelievably uncomfortable. I worry it is from an antibiotic I was on last week.. It breaks my heart. I called his pediatrician who said to bring him in this morning and then I remembered I don't have a car. K took mine because hers is getting an oil change/tune up.
2. sucka, sucka.
3. I can't believe N is 7 weeks! Where has the time gone?? He is still a peanut, weighing only 8 pounds 10 oz. I can't believe some babies are born this big (and bigger). He is so big from his teeny 5 pound 11 oz birth, he looks like a toddler.
4. We have having some family D.R.A.M.A. right now and K and I are ready to head for the hills and spend the holidays in Canada. Thankfully both of our families are crazy so it is even. I am absolutely mortified about what went down on Thanksgiving with K's sister and her wife. And then there is my stepmother...oye. Trash is as trash does.
5. Aren't the holidays swell? It's the most wonderful time of the year...
6. K took the stroller with my car. The stroller that I bought with the gift card from some bumpies! I never reported back, but we bought a City Select in ruby red. It is a-mazing. N loves it (and so does K - she pushed him around the house to get his to sleep) Thank you!! I use it every day!
7. Little boy blue is about to doze which means I have to high tail it to the shower if I don't want to look like a dirt bag when we see his doctor this afternoon.
8. Yet, here I sit..
9. Any recommendations for a baby who hates to have his arms tied down (aka swaddled) but is woken up over and over again with the whole 'I'm falling' arm gig?
10. He is sheer perfection. I never knew love until I saw this precious little boy. Now if only I could rid him of his gas woes.. poor baby.
1. I ate my kid's leftover Fiber One bar for breakfast (he didn't want to eat it this morning.) It was less than satisfying and now I am starving.
2. Gray came into our bed this morning at 5am and was such a snuggler. I am really going to miss when they no longer want to snuggle with us.
3. This weekend I picked Carter up and he nuzzled into my neck and unprompted said, "I love you so much." I nearly started crying right there in the Target parking lot.
4. I am taking the kids to a work holiday party this weekend (L will be writing.) The kids will have a blast playing with the other kids but why am I nervous about going to a party with people I have worked with everyday for nearly 8 years.
5. I think we've worked out our dilemma with my ILs coming to visit the week before Christmas and their plan to give the kids $100 and let them loose in a toy store...the week before Christmas. Oy.
6. I just purchased our photobooks. Thankfully, right under the wire of the coupon since we saved $136 with that darn coupon.
7. CT - The boys have also started with the 'it isn't fair' routine. And yes, I sound like my mother too.
8. I keep getting e-mails from ProFlowers to send flowers to my mother (as in "Don't forget [my mother's name] for Christmas.") My mother died in June. I have unsubscribed to these e-mails 1001 times to no avail. Perhaps my mother is trying to tell me something.
9. It is nearly pitch black outside and raining. I would LOVE to go home, put on pjs, and crawl into bed to watch movies and nap.
10. There are so many things I want to buy the kids and so little money to do so.
1. I have been up all night (working with twins) and should be sleeping right now.
2. I was just going to finish "one more thing" and that was 2 hours ago.
3. This is such a busy time for me. Looking at my calendar for the next few weeks, it's actually a bit ridiculous. I keep trying to scale back and prioritize, but I need to work and finish my classes by 12/15, with a 4.5 day vacation in the middle, so there's only so much time.
4. I didn't realize until this week how nice it's been to be done with school. I can't wait until it's only/mainly clinical hours I'm working on.
5. This time next month I'll be at my meditation retreat -- with nothing to do but meditate. Ahhhh.
6. Then this time in two months I'll be in D.C. working my buns off during my internship. Yay!
7. And hopefully seeing some of you all!
8. Even though C leaves when I come home, it's nice getting into a warm bed and snuggling with my dog.
9. Tomorrow we're meeting up with my favorite uncle who flew up for two days. Can't wait to see him (and the rest of the family)!
10. I've been feeling really positive/content/grateful lately and I'm really enjoying it.
Met 07/07/05, Wedding 07/07/07, Legal Marriage Ceremony 12/9/12, Baby Boy Born 08/09/13
9. Any recommendations for a baby who hates to have his arms tied down (aka swaddled) but is woken up over and over again with the whole 'I'm falling' arm gig?
I am interested as well, jeann! Let me know if you find anything! We have had * a little* more luck with the Halo kind of sleep sacks than other kinds. I'm looking for those in cotton.
1. Only in Arkansas can the weather go from 72 to snow in one day.
2. It started snowing so hard last night it knocked out our DirecTv and it still isn't working.
3. Our power also went off at 8:50 this morning, did I mention we just spent 400 dollars on groceries?
4. I'm hoping that the because my house is now 56 degrees, my food will stay closed.
5. I wanted to go to town today with J so that I could take the car to my grandparents but she complained about gas so I stayed, then the power went out.
6. I'm trying to catch up on my American Horror Story but I can't do that without power! >:(
7. We have a new addition to our family, a 8 month old black Lab puppy. His name is Journey and he is SOOO stupid!!
8. It's almost January!! Almost baby making time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
9. Who doesn't love the holidays? Familys fighting and stress over loading!
10. I'm going to bundle underneath my covers and hope I can warm up. Hopefully this uploads since it's from my phone
2. We're seeing Brandi Carlile tonight. When we bought the tickets, two months ago, we didn't know if we would have kid(s) or not by this time. He's here.
3. And as much as I am looking forward to a date night w/L--I'll miss the little guy.
4. L goes back to work in two weeks and I'm nervous. We'll have to get more things done in less time.
5. And little bugger ate at 10pm, 12:30, 2:30, was up just hangin out from 3:45-5am. Ate at 6:30 & 9am.
6. I take care of Pumpkin from 10-2, L takes care of him from 2-6am. I don't think she'll be able to do that when she goes back to work, and I don't know how much more I can do on a regular basis. I hope he gets a solid block or two of sleep in the next two weeks.
7. I can't stop by brain from thinking about our life with all 3 kids. Sometimes it's the worst, sometimes it's doable (or even nice). Can't. get. them. out. of . my. head.
8. I'm sending our social worker an email this morning with about 20 questions.
9. I didn't take Pumpkin for pro pictures--but took some cute ones myself & got our Christmas cards ordered!
10. I'm hoping if I wait another few weeks for pro pics, we'll still get them in time for Christmas, and maybe he'll be smiling by then?
I'm finding it difficult to get back into the groove of life after being on vacation for a week!
I'm committed to finding a new job that I feel passionate about before the end of the year. If I don't, I fear I might go nuts.
Some POS cranky board member told me that he doesn't find me inspiring. It's been well over a week and I know that I should consider the source and let it roll off my back, but I'm having a very hard time doing so.
DS's bday party is the weekend after next. It's time to start crafting!
CT's pics of RB's party have me so inspired. CT, you create such magical parties. Can you send some creativity dust my way, please?
The outside of our house is decorated for Christmas. Next up is the inside. If it's not still raining, we're going to get our tree tonight. Love this time of year.
DS ate so much at breakfast today. I'm still shocked. He ate a waffle, full cup of yogurt, banana, dried apple bits, a cheese stick, and cheerios. He's making up for not eating during his last cold, I suppose!
That's all I have today. Hope you are all having an enjoyable Tuesday so far!

1. Grad school essay is finally finished. I really wish I would have heard from first choice school by now so I knew if I needed to apply to back up program but they are being SLOWWWWW...so second app will be on its way after work today.
2. TWW is making me nuts...come on Friday. I have a feeling it is a BFN which would suck but maybe we will be suprised.
3. All I want for xmas is a BFP and an acceptance letter to grad school.
4. I am working in a physics class today. I am smart but some of these kids AMAZE me.
5. I love the days where I work at DWs school we get to have lunch together and it rocks.
6. My house looks like Christmas threw up and I love our little pathetic three foot tree.
7. DW and I collect ornaments on our adventures so I am exceted about the ornament exchange in here.
8. For some reason I am starving today...it really sucks that I cannot fit more food into my pouch sometimes because I am really hungry.
9. I think the progeterone ovules DW has to take is throwing both of our hormones off. We are super tuned in on each other and my body seems to respond to weird stuff happening to hers.
10. I hate that the HcG and the prometrium can mimic early pregnancy symptoms it is frustrating not to know. DW is holding it until we get home today so we can test it has been 13 days since trigger.
We had three BFN in the Fall of 2011. It is back on to some baby making come June. Swim little fellas, SWIM!!!!
1. Our Thanksgiving was great, and the trip to DC was fun too. We went to the Natural History museum with our nephew and niece and they had a great time.
2. We stayed with a friend of C's who she knows from their very conservative former church. He recently came out to her, and it has been nice getting to know his partner and seeing that he is happy.
3. C is finished her dissertation (wohooooooooo!!!!) and her defense is next Thursday. She is totally prepared and pretty chill about it. We are so different in some ways.
4. Since she's basically done with what she has to get done here, she has been working like crazy on decluttering the house to prepare for the move. Today we were up and removing windows at 6:30 so she could take them to the glass shop.
5. We also are supposed to go to the next town over tonight to bring stuff to Goodwill, but we won't go this evening because there is a winter storm warning. We're supposed to get 3-5 inches, which oddly is a big deal in SE Michigan.
6. Because we aren't going out, I have no idea what to cook for dinner. We're trying to eat out of the freezer, but nothing is thawed for tonight.
7. I am guest lecturing in a class on policy evaluation on Thursday and I'm pretty nervous. I know the professor wants a "real world" perspective, but my work doesn't feel like real evaluation.
8. I also am putting this together last minute because I forgot to put it on my calendar, and only just realized it was coming up so soon.
9. C's parents are coming for her defense and are coming to our house for dinner on Wednesday night. This is the first time they've come to visit since C and I have been together. It will be nice to see them on our turf, and also awkward.
10. I think we'll put up our Christmas tree this week!
Same sex couple TTC with donor sperm. I am 35 and carrying. Endometriosis and DOR. AMH 0.5, AFC 5-8, FSH 7ish
1. I'm waiting on a huge decision at work but have no idea when it will be made.
2. If it goes my way, it will solve a ton of problems, and make the next year easier.
3. If it doesn't go my way, I will be forced to put on my Brave Pants and get better at doing a lot of things I don't like to do, which would be good for me, and probably good for the future. But I'd prefer #2 of course
4. I'm home from work today and need to exercise and clean the house and grocery shop. It's rainy and dark and I want to take a nap instead. I may compromise by cleaning only.
5. Why is there a beach towel and an apple sitting on top of the dog crate?
6. Remember last week when I said I hadn't bought any Christmas presents? Update: Now I've bought 1.
1. I forgot to each lunch today, I was so busy. That NEVER happens to me. Crazy.
2. See #1 for why I'm doing TTT at 8pm.
3. DW bought me an adorable Danish pixie advent calendar for Christmas last year (like this). But now we need to figure out what to fill the loops and pockets with!
4. Now I'm looking at other pixies and wanting them all. Hahaha.
5. I'm watching Glee, but this show is really not holding my attention anymore.
6. When DW left her previous job she agreed to accept some extra pay in exchange for agreeing to come back and train the new person outside of work hours. Now she's having to do those hours and it's kind of lame.
7. Coming back from vacation is hard. I wish we lived closer to my sister and nephews and parents.
8. I haven't bought any Christmas presents yet either. And I don't have any ideas I love either.
9. We decorated the apartment for Christmas, all except the tree, which still needs to get done.
10. It doesn't feel like it could possibly be the holiday season, when it was 70 degrees this week and the tree outside is budding again!!
TTC with PCOS since July 2011.
IVF Oct/Nov 2012
Beta #1 = 77, Beta #2 = 190, Beta #3 = 1044
Cautiously optimistic.
2. Free star.bucks after an extra smooth daycare drop off
3. 2+ hour lunch date at Melting Pot with Kel--no babies, no phones, no work, just one-on-one connecting time--it was the BEST!
4. I keep thinking I am going to freak out about getting older, but it feels fine.
5. I am, however, freaking out about Christmas--how can it be so soon? how do I have 0 presents purchased? What the heck am I going to get Kel?
6. I think I found a church to join. Kel and I are both from Catholic backgrounds but wanted to find an inclusive church to raise the kids in. There is an Episcopal Church near our house and the people there are so welcoming and lovely--2 Sundays in and it feels like "home"
7. Which means I can get the kids baptized--Yay!
8. Which means picking Godparents--Yikes!
9. For folks that chose to have Godparents--how did you choose? who did you choose? I feel paralyzed by the decisions.
10. we did Lex's 6 month pics/family photos on friday and I am completely impatient to see how they turned out. I am really hoping that we got some keepers!

1. Last night I took E to pajama storytime at the library. I was suddenly sad when I realized she may outgrow this by next year.
2. My parents decided to cancel having us visit next weekend as my mom is still recovering from surgery.
3. I am relieved about #2 mostly because that's the only weekend I have to take E to a tree farm and I want to continue that tradition with her.
4. I need to get going on my shopping...but isn't ama.zon so much easier?
5. I had coffee this morning but I'm still feeling...blah.
6. Please tell me it won't pour all weekend. I need to hang our outdoor lights.
7. I am avoiding one particular work project, gotta buckle down and just do it.
8. I burned the top of my middle finger when making pies for turkey day. All the hand washing I've done post-burn has made it irritated.
9. E's dad and I are taking her to the Nut.cracker this weekend. I hope she loves it.
10. A good friend has asked something of me and I'm having a hard time making a decision.
Happy Birthday Erat!

IVF #1 - antagonist. Empty follicle syndrome. 1 retrieved, 0 fertilized.
IVF #2 - antagonist. Ovulated early. 3 retrieved, 2 fertilized, 0 blasts
7. I think that's all she wrote this week.
IVF Oct/Nov 2012
Beta #1 = 77, Beta #2 = 190, Beta #3 = 1044
Cautiously optimistic.
Hey, we are birthday twins! Happy Birthday!
1. I have been having the best birthday.
I am really hoping that we got some keepers!
i dont have any advice (since we obv havent had to do it yet), but i dread having to make this decision!! paralyzed is a good word for it!
and happy birthday!!
