Can someone tell me about Beyblades?

I mean, I know what they are... I was looking at them at the store last night.

Tucker has asked for them for months. I guess some of the kids at daycare have them. He even knew the names of a couple of them.

He's 4 and a half... is he too young for them? He says he can work the whatever it is to make them spin. I wish I knew someone who had them so I could see him in action. My older boys never asked for these.

Re: Can someone tell me about Beyblades?

  • They're pretty easy.  My 9 year old loves them.  As long as he sets it up, my 3 yr old can play with them.

You might have to help him with it at first but he should catch on fairly quickly.

  • They are supposed to be for ages 8 and up, but I've seen a lot of younger kids playing with them. DS got into them when he was 5 or 6. If your son can work them, then I think it's fine for his age. There's nothing really "dangerous" about them for younger kids as far as I can tell.  I would get the "starter set," which I think comes with an arena and a couple of Beyblades.

That's what I was looking at last night. Thanks!
