Bottle Nipples

DD just got put on cereal yesterday because doctor thinks she is having heart burn....I do not think this is what is making her ill, but anyways...I am now giving her 1 tsp rice cereal with her 5oz soy formula and the "Y" cut/cereal nipple is WAY TOO FAST...she sucks it down in minutes and that cannot happen. I have picked up a med & fast flow nipple (havent tried them yet) but wonder if the cereal will fit through those even. I'm kind of frustrated as to what to do because she doesnt need a tummy ache on top of whatever else is going on.....anyone have any experiences or suggestions PLEASE????

Can you just feed her the rice cereal with a spoon? Then you could give her a regular bottle after. Not sure how she'd do just yet, but you never know I guess.

The doctor suggested we dont do that because she is teething so she is already choking on her saliva so he is afraid spoon feeding would be risky. He suggested "slitting" our slow nipples but it still makes them too fast.
