So, I've taken what you guys said to heart and made a few changes. We went on a family walk before dinner, and while it wasn't quite at an aerobic pace (Kate was walking), it was something.
Also, I'm planning on finding a video or something to do during nap/ quiet time.
I packed up a few "project boxes" so that I can be doing something vaguely creative during naptime even if I can't be in the office. This month's projects include a felt advent calendar (that might be done by the time Kate graduates) and a December Daily scrapbook. Last year, Kate and I did December Daily together and it was lots of fun so I'm excited to get started on Thursday.
Also, I had a heart to heart with DH and we've both agreed to make some changes. We're going to prioritize couple time on the nights I have off and we've scheduled a date night- Kate's going to have a sleepover at my mom's.
He also helped me clean the kitchen at lunch and after dinner, which we ate a wee bit earlier to accomodate this. His original plan was to keep writing at the same pace through December to flesh out his novel, but I think (hope) he's going to only write on the nights that I'm working instead.
Biggest change? I'm not on my period anymore. (Does this seem to be a running theme? Perhaps I should not be allowed to post while menstruating?) Also, I'm not trying to make crazy-time-consuming candy for Thanksgiving which my sister specially requests every year. I never want to be firing up a double boiler at midnight again. Bottom line? Thanks for letting me vent and for offering up such great suggestions. ![]()
