Holy $h!t, I'm Pregnant.

Hello Mommas of May Babies! My son just turned 6months on Thanksgiving (born May 24th)... and I recently found out I'm expecting again. {Pause for dramatic gasp}. I'm scared, anxious, nervous... excited? I know the excitement will come more and more but right now all I can think about is my sweet baby boy and how he's going to grow up so fast and HOW will I have a one year old and an infant together... Their due dates are 10 days apart... I am already 12 weeks along with #2. Basically, they'll be exactly a year apart and I find myself constantly thinking, "next year at this time I'll be doing exactly this... except, I'll also have a one and a half year old..." Does anyone else have Irish Twins? Are any other May Mommas preggo again so soon? Any/all tips and advice is appreciated!

Congratulations!!

There are a handful of Moms that are pregnant again. Due anywhere from April to July.
Irish Twins are less than a year apart, so it could happen!

Congratulations!! If you don't mind me asking, were you trying or were you on some kind of (obviously not entirely effective) BC?

Thanks so much for the congrats, ladies! As you can imagine, a little overwhelmed... but starting to get more and more used to the idea... esp as this pregnancy progresses!

 To answer your question, Kelly... I was not on BC (I had literally JUST finished breastfeeding... could only BF for 3 months bc of a medication I needed to get back on), and I hadn't gotten my pp period yet. To be completely honest, we were just being careless... my doctor warned me you could still get pregnant if you were breastfeeding/right after but I hadn't really given it much thought since I hadn't gotten my period. My cycles were always so crazy that I wanted my pd to come organically before getting back on BC. Oops

Congratulations! I know someone IRL that has Irish twins and she says it's the best. Her kids are 3 and 2 now. Go check our the 2 under 2 board, there are some ladies on there that have or will have 2 under 1. Good Luck!

I just got a BFP on Monday and feel the same as you! We were planning to start trying in 6 months, but surprise! I'm excited, but nervous about being pregnant with my little guy and am upset that we won't have longer to enjoy DS alone.

I TOTALLY know what you mean!! I feel like my son is going to be robbed of his "babyhood" -- as silly as that sounds. I hope this doesn't make him grow up too quickly... I still want him to be my baby
