I've had a few really bad cramps this afternoon and I'm not sure what to think of it. Just feels like menstual cramps in my lower abdomen, with no muscle tightening. Nothing I can really time either since when it's there it only lasts a few seconds. Think it's something I should be concerned about?

Re: Cramping
I would call your OB and ask. I was having what felt like menstrual cramps at 31w3d. I called my OB thinking it would be nothing, but they sent me to L&D (since their office was closing). I ended up in PTL, but they were able to stop it and I made it to 36w2d before my girls were born.
Not trying to scare you at all. But it's worth a call to see if your doctor is concerned. Hope it's nothing and that you're feeling better soon!
My doc has asked if my cramping feels like menstrual cramps, so that might be an idicator of something more serious. Don't take chances-- call doc. I always tend to feel much better by drinking a big glass of water and laying on my left side. Any aches and pains go away after that. If that doesn't work, I would call.
In the days before DS was born, I started getting those kinds of cramps, and early labor definitely felt like bad menstrual cramps. Let your Dr. know, just in case it is PTL.
Good luck!
