DH and I will need 4 car seats since we are never sure who will drop off/pick up from daycare. The only time the boys are ever really in my car is for the ride to/from daycare which is a mile from home. I was thinking instead of spending a ton on 4, I could get less expensive ones for my car as long as the safery rating was good. I read on another board the evenflow triumph was rated well and so were some Britax models.
What did you choose??
Re: Convertible Car Seat Question
We got two of the Evenflo Triumph Advances for my car (~$160 each), since they are in my car the majority of the time. The girls seemed the most comfortable in these (more so than the Marathons even), they have taller slots than all other convertibles and I really liked the infinite halter adjustment feature. Plus, I really liked the Sandbox pattern (stupid, I know).
We ended up getting the Cosco Sceneras for my parents car. They watch the girls and sometimes take them on day trips. They are a steal - about $50 each - safe, simple and I also liked that they are easy to travel with. They get great reviews as a second car seat on www.carseat.org.
I figure we will get the Graco Nautilus seats once they outgrow the Sceneras.
Here's what we got for the second seat:

Baby #3 due September 12, 2014!
We are getting the Recaro Signo car seats. They are actually rated better than the britax for both forward and rear facing. This is where I got my info:
