I'm curious about how you handle the car ride with the LO? When both of us are in the car one rides in the back....for two reasons...1) the way the passenger seat has to be for the car seat lends to a very close dashboard ride, not fun. 2) I feel until LO can hold onto his toys or grasp the car situation, riding back there and chatting with him isn't so bad. It is mainly number one but I also feel if we can reassure him early on that he's ok in the car then he'll get more comfortable when I speak to him from the front and driving alone. I may be totally wrong in my thinking and "spoiling" my little dude but I'll be the one to have to deal with it when the time comes. What do you do when there are two of you in the car?
Re: The Car
I always ride up front, but the passanger side lays back perfect if he loses a nuk or needs something. I mainly do it because we ride an hour in the morning to work and home at night and he is back there by himself and there isn't anyway else so I wouldn't want him to get used to Mommy with him in the car. I also have a mirror that he faces so I can see him and that he thinks there is someone with him
However, on long rides when he isn't due for a sleep... I would ride back there. I wouldn't say it is spoiling him and you need to do what is best for your situation.
This.
DS sleeps the whole time. We both sit up front. Every once in a while I check on him, and if I need to, I climb in the back.

This is us also. DS has more than enough people to keep him occupied when we're in the car
