Hi, I recently got my 16 wk screening test back and had very high AFP levels. We went to a high risk dr and got a level 2 u/s and an amnio to discover that the baby is totally fine and normal. My placenta looked abnormally shaped and the dr diagnosed me as having a leaky placenta. He said as the baby grows and needs more nutritionally, my placenta might not be able to support it. Now we have to go for ultra sounds every 2 weeks and I am a nervous wreck. Has anyone ever experienced this or does anyone know anything about it? Thanks so much.
