TWW Question

I know food cravings are a pregnancy symptom but that doesnt happen until much later, right?

I think it may be the prometrium but DW is crazy over eggs for the past like 5 days.  I have never seen her like this it is nuts.  She is a foodie at heart but would NEVER eat the same thing over again, I have to be careful not to have leftovers.  She has been so nuts over eggs that last Wednesday we were watching a movie and she got off the couch at 10 o'clock PM to make eggs ( she even got the blender out which is buried in the cabinet behind my stand mixer and blended them to get them "fluffy" before cooking them).  She doesnt cook either I do all the cooking. She is constantly wanting eggs right now. Strange things happening with all these hormones and my wife.

We had three BFN in the Fall of 2011. It is back on to some baby making come June. Swim little fellas, SWIM!!!!

Re: TWW Question

  • Jen was eating way more than normal during the TWW of our successful try. She was also having more intense cramps than she normally has during PMS. I kept telling her she was knocked up but she thought it was too early to mean anything. We tested just two days early b/c we were afraid of a false positive from the trigger shot.

    When can she test?

Blood HcG test is this Friday.  We are not doing HPT anymore because DW just cannot concentrate her urine enough (she is on a water pill for blood pressure).  We could never get a positive on an OPK and could barely get a read with the trigger after she about killed herself trying to hold it (we were trying to see what it took trying to get an HPT to read)

Guess we are waiting until Friday and meanwhile I guess I need to buy some more eggs lol (and if we get a BFP maybe I need to buy a couple chickens)

  • My DP is in her TWW also, and has been having the same symptoms. Hers is not eggs tho! DP loves food (ALL FOOD) but could barely eat anything at our family thanksgiving last night said "it tasted bad" and skipped desert which is her favorite part. Today she just text me she got a big mac on her lunch break, we havnt ate red meat in over a year & she HATES McDonalds! She said it was really good.....strange!
  • I had some phantom symptoms my first 2ww and decided it was going to be better for me in the long run to believe all the stuff that says pregnancy symptoms don't show up until until 2-8 weeks after conception -- which is after I would already have a BFP.  That way I don't convince myself that everything is a pregnancy symptom until I actually have a reason to.  It's a self-preservation thing.  That said, of course I have no experience actually being pregnant and everyone always seems to have stories about early pregnancy symptoms, so who knows.  It does sound like an abnormal obsession with eggs (and this coming from someone who loves them)!

Pregnancy is bizarre. I would eat something one day and the next day it was awful and made me ill. I had the worst time packing lunches for work because buy the time noon rolled around what I made sounded awful.

    This exactly.

For me, the way I knew something was up was at 10 dpo. My godson was visiting and we were having lobster - one of his favorites (and mine!). When K put the lobsters on the table, I was like, "I don't think so. I'll have yogurt." Yogurt. For dinner. Instead of lobster. Two days later, we got our BFP. Crossing my fingers the egg obsession comes from a cozily implanted fertilized egg! Smile
