DS, DH and DD keep passing around a cold.

DH brough it home from work.  He came home with a cough and a stuffy nose that left him voiceless the next day and was better two days later.  Three days after DH got the cold, DD started coughing and then lost her voice DS started the day after.  DH looked after DD while she was sick at night because I was looking after DS.  He lost his voice again,  DD who was on the mend is sounding rough again today and DS sounds terrible and is horribly congested.

I am sanitizing all our bedding today and washing the house from top to bottom.   Any other ideas for killing this pesky cold?  I am being a nazi about the hand sanitizer and there are vapourizers in both our room and DD's room (DS sleep in our room)  I have thus far remained impervious to this cold but I don't know how much longer that will last with them passing this thing back and forth.

  • Ugh.  I don't think there's much else you can do. We are in a similar boat.  DS has brought 2 colds into the house.  DD didn't catch the first, but the 2nd comes with a cough, which spreads the germs.  Poor DD sounds snuffly now.  She's in a pretty decent mood otherwise, but the little cough/chokes just freak me out.  I know they shouldn't b/c DS had his fair share of colds when he was this small, but it just doesn't make me feel any better about it.  I just have to keep reminding myself that some babies are in daycare at this age and they are exposed to many more germs than what DS is bringing home.

GL keeping everyone healthy.  I think washing all sheets, Clorox wipes on all surfaces regularly touched (especially the TV remote!) should be good.
