We opened ours up and read the story to M tonight and asked her to name it. We are going to try again in the morning to see if she can come up with a name... but if she can't we are looking for ideas.
We're not starting the tradition until next year, but my 3 year old niece named hers Mexico. My sister tried to encourage her to pick a different name but did not succeed. Mexico it is, and it's quite hilarious to hear someone say "Do we need to let Mexico know what you're doing?" or "S, Mexico is watching you."
I can't wait to get ours - I think it will be delivered today. Of course we will let DS name him, but based on his name choices for the baby, I'm thinking our elf could end up being named "Couch" or "Zerbet" or "Marek" or "Bowen" (the last 2 are his buddies at school, and he reeeallly wanted to name baby brother either of those names, but unfortunately for him, we're not)
Re: s/o Elf on a Shelf
Icy. DH started throwing out snow-related names and that's the one Luke picked.
I tried to get Luke to pick one last year and he wouldn't. So we didn't count last year as the year the tradition started
Ous is Buddy also! Abby picked it out 2 years ago, our first year doing it. She was obsessed with Dinosaur Train at the time. Tiny was a CLOSE 2nd.
