Getting off Paxil

I am desperately trying to get off of this evil drug Paxil. My husband and I have been trying to conceive our first for a year and my new dr. Just informed me that I need to get off of the drug, that it is very harmful. 

This has proven to be extremely difficult for me, the withdrawal symptoms are too much for me to handle. I desperately want to be a mother, I'm at a loss of what to do at this point. Any words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

    There are other meds that are safe during pregnancy.  Talk to your doc about them.

    I had to go onto prozac and then wean off of that to get off paxil. I tried to come off of it without the prozac and ended up with what they call the "paxil flu". I'll never take paxil again, it was horrible.
