IVF ladies - when was your first ultrasound?

Hi ladies! I hope it's ok for me to jump over here for a quick question. I hope to do an official intro after my first ultrasound, when I feel a bit more secure in this pregnancy.

For my first IVF cycle, my ultrasound was at 5w3d, but that was only because I was having ectopic pregnancy symptoms. For this one (new clinic), it's scheduled for 6w2d. Does that sound about right?

I'm no expert, but that sounds right to me. I had one at 5w1d, have one again at 6w3d, and another at 7w2d. I'll then be released to my OB.

I had one at 5w1d to check ectopic, and my next at 7w1d where we saw two heartbeats! Good Luck!!

Mine were at 6 and 7 weeks.

My first one was 6w3d and my second one with my RE was 2 weeks later, then I was released to the OB.

My first will be any time 5 weeks after ER. I am going 5w4d after. That will be Dec 5...

Did not do IVF, but that sounds about right to me.  My RE waits until 6w, you should be able to see hb(s) by that time.  Congrats!  T&Ps for a strong hb!

Thanks again for all of the replies. Seems like around 6 weeks is average - I'm just having a hard time waiting between my second beta and first ultrasound!

First one was 5 weeks 6 days, second one was 7 weeks 4 days. So your timeline sounds right.

My first u/s was scheduled for 6w4d.  My RE had a scheduling conflict and had me come in at 6w.  In hindsight, 6w4d would have been better timing.  At my 6w u/s, they only saw 1 hb.  If I had not been seen until 6w4d, I would have seen them both and saved myself a bit of worry.

Yep, sounds right to me, too.    My first ultrasounds were 6w2d and 6w1d.

That sounds right.  My RE did my 1st one around 5w2d but I have a history of an ectopic.  And then he liked to do them weekly, but I asked to wait until 7 weeks or so (crazy, I know).  I wanted to wait until I was 7 weeks so we'd be sure to see the heartbeat at that time.  He understood my concerns and so we waited about 2 weeks in between my 1st and 2nd u/s.

My first was supposed to be today, but I had spotting last Wednesday, which was 5 weeks, 4 days. They didn't see much, so based on that my RE puched the next one back to Wednesday. He wanted to wait until Friday, but DH couldn't be there then. Now I'm kind of wishing we'd wait until Friday, because if there is no HB Wednesday I know I will completely freak out, regardless of whether it's just too early.

My first was at 5 weeks 4 days if I remember correctly.

7 and 9 wks for my 2 scans.  The first one could have been done as early as 6 and 3 but i had work issues that prevented that earlier scan.  From all I've read here about early scans and not always seeing a HB, I'm glad I didn't go until 7 wks.  If all is well on Wednesday, I get released to regular ob care.

That sounds about right.  My first one will be Thursday, and I'll be  6 weeks 1 day.

I totally understand how you feel.  It seems like the time bwtween my seconf beta and first ultrasound is killing me.  It's like another 2ww!

Mine were at 6 weeks, and I think it was (for me) too soon.  Both times they didn't see what they needed to (empty sacs) and a week later they saw heartbeats.  Those weeks were the hardest of my life.  The first one I lost, and the second one will be coming any week now, and I still always think about the stress I went through in the beginning, not knowing even after u/s.
