We use cloth diapers for DS, but, recalling the 11+ wet/dirty diapers a day that he went through as a baby, we're planning to use disposables for the first few months for DD before switching her to cloth as well.
I'm really out of the loop on disposables. Can anyone recommend their favorite brand (& size) of disposables for NBs? Money-saving options on diapers/wipes would be good too!
TIA!

Thanks for the tip!
We used Pampers Swaddlers NB (hospital version) for about 8 weeks. He was in the hospital nearly all that time (and they sent us home wiht a TON) so I really didn't have to buy any until he was 9 weeks old. At about 10 weeks he started in the size 1 and we tried the Costco brand. LOVED THEM. I CD'ed part time between months 3-5.
I use all brands interchangably based on price, but I tend to stock up on Costco brand (or Huggies, if there's a coupon)( when he's in a new size (he's in 4 now) and then supplement with Up&Up from Target when he's in between sizes. We change sizes when he starts peeing through frequently.
I did not use Pampers past hthe NB swaddlers. I don't like how they handled the DryMax thing and I really dislike the perfume smell.

YES! Target sells Up&Up in a newborn size and they are GREAT. They're so cute and tiny and have huge dots on them (and a wetness indicator). We did have some of those that we loved.

This! The wetness indicator was awesome initially when she was making such small amounts of pee that it was hard to detect otherwise. And we had a lot of problems with Huggies.
Since then, we've used the Up & Up (Target brand) whenever we can. We hadn't tried them yet in the NB size, so I can't vouch for that specifically. But they're SIGNIFICANTLY less expensive than Pampers or Huggies & work great, too. I've also gotten coupons multiple times at the register for $1 off of a box (which even without a coupon is still ~$5 less than the name brands).
GL!
