I am going to be taking a regular birthing class at my hospital, but I am really interested in the Bradley Method. There are no local classes, so I thought I would just try to find a good book to reference, and hope for the best. The closest class is about 2 hours away, and I just don't think we will be able to fit it in with work. Also, any tips for those of you who've used it would be appreciated. Thanks!
Re: Recommendation for a book on the Bradley Method
Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way by Susan McCutcheon

I was just reading reviews on that one. It's either that, or Husband-Coached Childbirth... Thanks!
I personally found Husband Coached Childbirth rather misogynistic, condescending (hello, calling breasts sweater decorations!) and not all that useful. The exercises in Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way were so helpful and the book was laid out so much better, especially if you don't have a class available.
We read the husband coached childbirth only - didn't do the classes. I marked the pages worth reading and I feel MH got a lot out of it and he remembered everything! It was enough for us and we had a great med-free experience. GL!
