GD "Drink" Tip!

Maybe you all know this, but I was a little bummed that I couldn't have anything good to drink with Thanksgiving... obviously no wine, no cider, etc.

So earlier in the day yesterday, I brewed a mug of herbal apple cinnamon-spiced tea and had it over ice with dinner. It was kind of kicky and cider-like and totally guilt free.

I've heard people ask what they can drink with GD, and I can't believe I never thought of herbal iced teas... so many great flavors and I don't have to worry about caffeine, artificial sweeteners, or carbs.  Don't get me wrong... I will have the occasional diet soda and I drink TONS of water, but this is kind of a fun alternative, especially through the Holiday season.

Just thought I'd share!

  • I drink tea occasionally, you just have to be careful of the herbal ones.  https://www.americanpregnancy.org/pregnancyhealth/herbaltea.html

  • I like seltzer with a splash of diet cranberry juice and a lime slice. I have not seen my doc yet but I think this is gd acceptable.
