It irks me when people say telling your child about Santa is lying to them. Don't tell your kid about Santa if you want to deprive them of that joy, but don't call me a liar. I grew up believing in Santa and never did I get mad at my parents or think they had been lying to me when I found out he was not real. I think there's a wide gap between fantasy and a pattern of deceit.
