That's normal. I think the average is 4-6 weeks. It was almost 8 weeks for me. I had a break for a few days too and just when I thought it was over, it started up again.

Normal, but I worried too until I called my MW. I was worried because it had been turning browner, and then came back a little heavier with darker and redder blood. Apparently when the placental site is healing, you can sometimes lose the scab that it had been building up and have some more blood that is red and fresh, but is still showing that the site is healing...does that make sense? Either way, it explains why it can come and go at times.
Yesterday was my first blood-free day (just some light brown spotting) and I'll be 7 weeks PP tomorrow.
I think its normal, but if you are worried or it seems much heavier than usual always check in with your doc. I always felt like mine lasted at least 5 weeks, but it always seemed to stop by my 6 week check up. GL!
Re: Post Partum Bleeding
It was 6-7 weeks for me after both my deliveries.
If you start bleeding more heavily than you had been, it can be sign that you have overdone it and need to take it easy a little more.

It took me 6-7 weeks to stop. I remember at my 6 week follow-up appointment I still had some light bleeding and my OB said it was totally normal.
