I'm so jealous of all you ppl who can get poutine . YUM!
(we were watching How I Met Your Mother yesterday and Robyn referred to poutine and I was thinking how I would love to find someplace in the states that makes that... do they have it in the midwest maybe?)

It's a very French-Canadian thing, so I'd guess that you'd be more likely to find it along the north-eastern border states. I've never seen it on a menu down there whenever I've been visiting family, etc. I know that you can get the cheese curds in the deli section of many grocery stores here. You could maybe make your own? I would SO do that if I lived in the States!
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.

An hour to wait and I'm already hungry for it. When I was pregnant I would dip my chicken strips in the cheese and gravy. Definitely the most delicious fattening thing I ate mmmmmmmmmmm.

Thanks- I have heard you can get the curds in certain places but there are specific brands to buy or something. I'm not Canadian & have no idea how to make it though- I've only had on vacay in Montreal and LOVED it.
I've never had poutine but every time I see a picture of it I swoon a little. For living in an area with abundant cheese curds, you'd think this would catch on here but alas, no.
Re: This pregnant lady is going to get a poutine!
Mmmm.... Harvey's poutine.

I confess I like the shredded, I find it melts better.
Mmm that sounds good! I'd like to try that sometime with either a little stuffing and/or cranberry too. Like a cheesy gravy drenched turkey dinner!

Now THAT sounds divine!
And now, this pregnant lady wants one too. But it's too late to go get takeout now, plus I had A&W for lunch, so I really shouldn't.
