I think I want a tattoo. I want one on the inside of my foot (like heel area) but I want some kind of inspirational.
now to think of some wise words. I know myself and will chicken out.
So what is your tattoo of or would you never get one?
If you were to get an inspirational quote what would it be?
Re: tattoos~who has one or never or maybe
Getting the tattoo was very painful, but I got it right after my miscarriage, which was a much more painful experience. I'm not sure if I would ever get another, except to add a birthstone of a new baby onto my existing tattoo. However, I do love my tattoo and don't regret it for a moment.
I want one on my side.
I have a few ideas in mind, symbolic of a lot of the shitthat has happened these last two years.
You take my ovaries, I take your yarns.
I have 4:
Top of right foot: the holes on the top of a violin (I've played since I was 9)
Top of left foot: Celtic style shamrock
Inside left ankle, closer to my heel: treble clef
Back: Celtic knot intertwined with a heart
Each one has a lot of meaning to me for various reasons. I do want to get one in honor of DD, but it won't be for awhile.
Bubs, this . We have had 2 shitastic years and I am hoping that it ends soon.
I like the saying "worries end where faith begins" I always have faith but it is starting to grow thin.:(
For reals girl.

I have 8 tattoos and have full intentions of getting more. I have a Leprechaun, Claddaugh, Celtic Knot, Shamrock, Serpent & Dagger, Celtic Cross, Butterfly and flowers. The flowers is actually the one with the most meaning, it is my kids birth flowers.
I don't currently have any quotes or words for that matter, but my next tattoo will be the word "strength" or something similar on the inside of my wrist in white ink.

I have a dragonfly tattoo on my back. It had a lot of meaning for me. I was living independently after I dumped the guy I was dating -- he was very hard to dump since he had already asked my parents for my hand in marriage. I was a kayak guide and dragonflies landed on my kayak all the time. I still love it and don't regret it. I do like that I can cover it.
I would get another, but probably expand on the dragonfly -- I still very much love the outdoors so it would be something nature-like and something meaningful about DS. Not sure how I'd expand it.
lol, the quote I like is not something I'd get unless I was a writer for a living. I read it in an interview with author Amy Bloom, "There is no such thing as a good writer and a bad liar." Not very inspirational.
I want one maybe on my back. It's been a shitty couple years for me too. Something to symbolize what it takes to get through having a stroke. I hope life gets better for all of us soon.
I have three.
One is on my upper back (Shoulder blade to shoulder blade, bottom of my neck to top of my bra strap) and is a large blue rose with celtic lattice work around it....i'm Irish (hence the celtic design), I love roses and the color blue.
The second is a "tramp stamp" (but it's small, the size of a half dollar, right in the middle of my lower back), it's a blue sun with black flames...matches the rose...and represents a good friend of mine...long story.
The third is a Druid (like a woodland nimph/fairy girl) on my left calf, takes up my whole calf. It's got a lot of meaning to me but my explanation here wouldn't make any sense to anyone else, LOL.
I am planning to get a fourth but haven't decided where to put it (maybe my right ankle). I'm going to have a circle of the words "Mon Coeur, Mon Ame, Mes Enfants" (French for My heart, my soul, my children) and then put my stepkids, and my daughter's names and birthdates in the middle.
I have one- a total tramp stamp but I will never have it covered and I do not regret it one bit.
I went through hell in my teens and early 20s and I brought myself back from the brink of death. Literally. My ink was a gift to myself as a reminder of what I have been through, where I have come and the fact that I am totally rad.

I am planning to get one. Probably my kids' birth flowers and possibly a word that's meaningful to me ("Thrive").
I have been through some bad sh!t in the last 2 months and I really need something to help me never forget.
It will likely be on my ribs which I hear is a really painful place, but honestly because of the pain I've been going through, it seems appropriate.
