Absolutely would do it again and in fact did it twice more. First birth was a natural hospital birth with a third degree tear. Second birth was a natural free standing birth center water birth with no tearing. Third birth was this past weekend, natural free standing birth center on a birth stool with a posterior baby with two first degree tears. And I'm a little sad to know I'll never give birth again. It never crossed my mind after the first that I would want drugs the next time, in fact the opposite happened and I chose to deliver where drugs were not even remotely an option, that's how sure I was I didn't want drugs.

I will definitely be going med free again! My first was a relatively easy med free birth at a NB-friendly hospital. My second was a more difficult birth (big baby, posterior position, posterior cervix) at home. Even though my second birth was more painful, it was still an awesome, amazing, empowering experience and now that I know I can do it, I'll have no problem trying for another home birth next time around!
I will definitely do it again. I had a very intense labor -- stalled out at 5 cm with no downtime between contractions then jumped to 8 and was in transition for 2 or 3 hours before pushing for 2 more hours. It was hard. The hardest, most painful thing I've ever done. But it was worth every minute and I am already looking forward to doing it again with my next baby. I won't lie though, I am hoping there's some truth to the second labor being faster/easier.
Oh, and it's absolutely true that as soon as LO is born the pain is just gone! It really is like magic and I loved being able to get up and get a shower when I wanted to. I can't imagine not being able to move right after.
Funnily enough that was the very first thing my MIL asked me when I went up to my recovery room after labor (about 1.5 hours after LO was born). She said, "So, I guess you want an epidural next time, right?" And my response even right after was, "Um, actually no." I couldn't believe she had the nerve to say that to me right then! Maybe she was thinking I'd say yes of course and she could hold it over my head if I said I was going to go natural again...?
Absolutely 100% no question, yes. I had an amazing experience and can't stop replaying it in my head. I loved knowing that the entire experience was me, my body, and my baby, nothing interfering with that process.
I loved being able to be up and move around during labor and right after birth, and recovery has been really easy for me.
