Name Spelling

I think DH and I have compromised on a name today. He is a big fan of Connor, I like it just fine I just wish there was a nickname to it. But I'll get past that.  DH tells me thought that he would like it spelled CONOR, while I think it should be CONNOR. I really just want to spell it the way people will instinctually spell it so that he is not constantly correcting people. Both are apparently traditional spellings according to babyname books and websites. So I ask you ladies.....on N or two? TIA

At school we have two Con(n)ors.  One with 1 n, one with 2.  I think I like 2 better, but I agree that they're both traditional and neither looks misspelled or made up.

I've never personally seen Conor, so I'd think it was a mistake until I was corrected.

Phonetically speaking, 2 n's would be correct.  Otherwise it should be pronounced co-nor.

I have always seen it with two n's - this year I have my first Connor - with only 1 n - Conor - I like it better as Connor

What's the middle name you're thinking about? My hubs doesn't really like it, so I don't think I'm going to persuade that.

We had a cousin spell thier son's name Conor.  Everyone was so confused.  I think that Connor is so much better!
