Hi ladies!
I'm 39 and just got my bw results back from my NT scan. The us looks good with a nt measurement of .9 and a nasal bone. The bw, however, shows a papp-a of .34 which is on the lower end. My hcg (.98) and nuchal translucency (.69) look normal, so it's just the low Papp-a (plus my age) that is making my downs risk at 1/92.
On researching low Papp-a, I see it tends to lead to low birth weight, pre-term labor, pre-eclampsia and other things. Does anyone here have any stories to share regarding low Papp-a and how that affected your pregnancy?
Thank you all so much.

Re: Question about low PAPP-A
My Blog

I don't have a personal experience, but while pregnant I read about many many many cases where the first trimester screening gave them very high chances for down's, but the amnio or CVS told them they had healthy babies.
Good luck!
See, now this is where being 44 and the parent of a toddler kicks my azz.
I can't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure my PAPP-A numbers were crap. I was 1:5 or something ridiculous for Downs, but all my other screenings were spot-on so as time went on, we were pretty confident that C was healthy. And he is.
Didn't have pre-e or any of the other concerns, either.
Just keep up the positive juju!
