H is a rock star!

Hilyer has been such a trooper today. He hasn't had anything by mouth since 9 pm last night and he's not been fussy at all today. He's on IV fluids, but I know that's not the same as milk.

His surgery went well. The surgeon placed the G-tube, did the nissin, repaired both hernias and circumcised him. They kept calling him the "blue plate special" patient.

He may be able to have clear liquids tonight and hopefully start back on milk tomorrow. It depends on the drainage from his G-tube, but his nurse says he's had minimal drainage today.

Even though the H's pulmonary dr didn't do the surgery, he came by a little while ago to check on him. He said that he was confident that we made the right decision with the tube and the nissin. He said he expects to see weight gain and quickly Smile

Lastly, we are supposed to meet with our nutritionist tomorrow to go over feeding guidelines and such.
