I could really use some internet hugs right now, it's been a day from hell. I don't know what's wrong with my baby who just screams all the time, can't be put down, never seems full. Is it me? How do I know he's even eating enough? I just don't know what he wants

I'm seriously in tears right now because I don't know wth to do. I've been listening to a screaming baby all day long and I'm starting to lose it.

Re: :(
My SO suggested this as well but I am so hesitant to give medicine of any kind. I think if this continues tomorrow I will definitely try it.
Aw!! I've been there and tend to visit that "special place" more than I like. It could be hunger and exhaustion. I didnt read the other responses, but are you BF or bottle feeding? I found that once I started pumping I could see how much my guy wanted to eat instead of just guessing if he was getting enough from my breast. Now, I give him x amount and he either finishes it and wants more or stops after 3 oz or so. I also learned that I had totally been missing his sleepy cues. Since I started more formal nap times, he's been much nicer to me.
Good luck!! ::hugs::
I'm so sorry!
I second the teething tablets. Even if you are anti-medication, the tablets are much more gentle and are made of natural ingredients (most are).
You can also freeze a wash cloth, and see if he will chew on it.
((((hugs)))) I know how you feel.
I was also supposed to go out tonight with a friend who just got back into town and she cancelled on me. So of course I cried for like 20 mins about that.
Anyway, thanks Ee, I think I will look into the the teething tablets, it's got to be pain.
And mish-I BF and when I pump I get enough out that he's satisfied but he never pulls off on his own anymore so I feel like he's still hungry. He also hits, pinches and pulls the whole time he's feeding, I feel like he's frustrated or something.
This is usually a sign for us that he's working on a giant poop. Have you noticed him pooping regularly? We had a screaming day, and the doc told me to give him a rectal temp to help things move along. Unfortunately, it didn't work for us, but it usually does 99% of the time for most. Just a thought.
Hang in there momma. Remember, his crib is a safe place for him to be while you catch a few breaths. It's okay to lock yourself in the bathroom for a bit and scream or cry until you can gear up again.
I thought he might be constipated but he's actually a great pooper lol.
And thanks for the advice I do appreciate all the responses. It turns out you have to try things a few times, I put him in his exersaucer before his bath and he was all too happy lol.
