Question for my FF mamas....

I have a WWYD question for my FF mamas. Eden started out on Similac Advance & was doing fine. but because of costs i wanted to try Up & Up (Target) version of Similac. She did great on that (actually better than regular similac...less gas & more frequent poops)& that's what she's been on since she was probably a month old. Well in the past few days I've been given at least 4 large containers of Similac Advance. Sooo I thought I'd test limits & see if I could mix the 2 (so that I wouldn't have to buy formula for a while). I thought maybe if I mixed it, the Up & Up would never fully leave her system.

Anyway, It's only been a few days but since she's been on mixed milk she's had these MAJOR poops (blowouts up the back & the front). And she's been spitting up more. Not whole bottles (only once or twice), usually just a little dribble. Not sure if this is just usual "baby behavior" (i mean, poop & spitting up are two things on their resumes) But I'm trying to give it a couple more days to see if things calm down, but I also don't want to further mess things up just because I'm trying to cut costs. Sooooo do you think I should just donate the similac & just go back to Up & Up and leave well enough alone?

  • Donate it! Switching like that only makes things worse! If ain't broke don't fix it. The trouble it causes in their systems just isn't worth saving a few bucks unless you have no choice.

Like an idiot I switched dd 3x before 1 month! Trust me lesson learned! She was a lil experiment there for a bit , my poor baby. So who has two thumbs and is a bad mom? This guy!!
  • Stick with the Up and Up.
  • I agree with PP's.  Sounds like the Similac is upsetting Eden's tummy, so I would donate it.
