My mom made me cry....

She just posted a blankie she finished knitting on her facebook and it's for baby Ashley. I knew she was making this blanket, but she said it was for someone else. I love love love handmade things, and I know baby Ashley will too! :)

    OMG that is great!!!! I love handmade things as well...although I have no patience to try and do it myself! LOL

    I agree! Homemade things are great, especially when it's from someone as special as your mom. My mom showed me a blanket she was making for our LO and I was so excited. Then at my shower two weeks ago she surprised me with a totally different blanket I had not idea she was making. Needles to say I cried. My sister also gave me a homemade hat for the baby. Big Smile

    Hand made stuff is always so special, and different. I had crocheted a baby blanket for my friend's son, and to this day, it's his binkie, and he won't go to sleep without it! She's sent me pics of him fast asleep sucking his thumb with the the end of the blanket curled up in his fist. Melts my heart. :)

    Wow, that blanket is beautiful! I wish I could knit like that! Handmade gifts, especially from family tend to be the most meaningful ones....

    Isn't that the greatest? I am blessed with many artistic people in my family. My grandmother knitted a small blanket for baby, my mom is knitting a larger afghan and my dad has carved 2 rattles so far! I will treasure these things forever and already feel that baby is so loved!!
