cat with a dead mouse.... egh!

I am a little horrified right now. I just caught our cat playing with a dead mouse (he must have just got it) in the breezeway. Then, he was crying to come in the house. I can't stop thinking of the possible diseases or nastiness that he now has on his paws and face.... and he'll be coming inside! I just don't know what to do/think. Should I try and give him a bath?! AH!!! Sometimes I really wish we kept him as an indoor cat:/

  • I'm sure he's fine! Our cat just killed a mouse- in our house Tongue Tied- a few weeks ago, and I didn't even think about the diseases or whatever. Chances are your cat isn't putting his paws in your lo's mouth.

  • There is nothing wrong with your cat. My cat kills mice all the time and I am sooo proud of her!

Lol. We were proud of our cat, too. Then he got a little too proud of himself. He just laid in the spot where it happened for days purring and looking all pleased with himself. Then when we stopped paying all kinds of attention to him, he brought his toy mouse over and laid it in the place where it happened as if to say, "Hey?? Remember what I did! Give me pets now!"

LMAO!!! That is just too funny!

  • The best part is when they decide to leave it in your shorts or shoes as a present Big Smile Our cat always would put it in DH shorts lol.

  • lol I didn't think something was wrong with our cat.... I know cats kill mice for a living and he's done it before! I guess what made me horrified was the fact that he sleeps on our bed and such. And no, he's not sticking his paws in LO's mouth... but where he steps, LO lays! I'm not a germaphobe or anything, but mice DO spread disease!

I'm with you. I hate thinking about DD playing/crawling on the same floor our dog  lays on--but I am an admitted germaphobe.
