Last post made me think about where I was 1 year ago today...we found out and were so excited to tell my parents in in-laws at Thanksgiving! Then shared the rest of the news with friends and family at Christmas. We gave a piece of paper to my nephew inside a Christmas gift and he read the paper aloud saying his aunt and uncle were having a baby...so much fun! Now here we are a year later...can't believe how time flies! Where were you 1 year ago and how did you break the news??

I was talking to an aunt and uncle-in-law about how their son and dil would probably be the next to have kids since she just went off the pill. Little did I know I was already pregant (found out 2 weeks before xmas).  They do not have kids yet.

stbxH and I had just finished our visit at the clinic to confirm the pregnancy. We were hungry and decided to stop at Arbys since my brother was a manager there and we usually got free or discounted food. H said that he wasnt sure he could stay quiet with the news, so we agreed that if both my brothers were working, we would tell them. They both were, so we swore everyone there to secrecy (one other employee and a customer) and told them. My baby brother ran up and hugged me. My younger brother just stood in shock. Our food was free btw.

For my sis, I told her to come over and help me make cookies that night. I had just closed the door and H was bouncing with excitement. I said "Go ahead" and he told her. She squealed, which surprised me. We still made the cookies.

On Christmas,  I made Grandma and Grandpa keychains and gave them to my parents as their gift. My dad looked at me and asked "Really?" My mom took longer because she couldn't read it. After 5 minutes she finally got it in focus, squeaked, and hugged me.

DD was conceived thanksgiving weekend....so about this time last year I got a positive OPK

I was at the tail end of AF, with no clue that I was going to get my Christmas wish in a couple of weeks!

ETA - we told our families at Christmas with onesies for my niece and niece-to-be (SIL was pregnant) that said "Big Cousin".

I went in for my IUI on the 27th last year so about this time I was testing with my CBE fertility monitor every morning waiting for that little egg to show up!

This was the exact day we confirmed our first positive HPT with a digital. It, obviously, said yes!

According to the timeline I was either just pregnant or getting pregnant this weekend.  I still hadn't gotted AF from my MC the month before.  I didn't find out until the 24th of Dec that I was BFP.  I had a DR's appt for the 10 of Dec and then a confromation blood work was done.

We were still watching temps and trying to figure out when was good timing. I didn't O until Dec. 6th and got my positive on the 13th. It was the most fun trying ever. DH still tells all his friends it was the best week of his life. haha
