High chair question

Hello ladies! I need opinions here. I am looking at highchairs for DS as I know he will be on food soon.

https://www.amazon.com/Inglesina-2011-Table-Chair-Marina/dp/B004BSFOYO/ref=wl_it_dp_o_npd?ie=UTF8&coliid=IIUAH6K7JFAL6&colid=1IHXH17T55SIQ I found this one and it looks promising. I like that it is collapsible and transportable since then I can take it to family's houses for holiday dinners and what not. My parents already have one so that is not a concern (mom is his daycare for half the week)

Do any of you have experience with this chair? Opinions or reccomendations?

Re: High chair question

  • I do not have this chair.  We have a standard highchair, but I wanted to add that if I had it to do all over again, I would have gotten a chair like this one.  It's such a PITA to drag the high chair out, set it up, let him eat, clean it and then drag it back into storage.  We don't have the space to leave it out full-time.

Plus, neither one of our parents are our childcare, so they both bought highchairs.  This would have saved them the money.  I just like this style of chair so much better.

  • This is the one that I want for myself, I love the simplicity.

  • Ours is a good one. Safety 1st, and it sits on top of a chair. It also grows with the baby, starts out in a reclined position and then sits full up right and then into a booster seat. I got it at BRU for $30 but it was on sale when I bought it.

  • Just make sure if you have a table apron, that it's short enough for the chair to clamp on.  On our table, the apron hides the leaves, so it would be too tall.

  • We love our Fisher Price Space Saver High Chair. It reclines, so we have been able to sit DS in it for months now. He loves to sit in there and sit next to us while we eat dinner.

We have counter height table/chairs, so this works perfect for us. Otherwise, DS would sit lower than us in a tradditional high chair. I'm personally not a fan of the ones that attach to the table. They just don't seem safe to me (even though I am sure they totally are). Plus as PP mentioned I don't think they work with many tables that have leaves (including ours).

  • We are going to get a stand alone high chair. Even if we had enough room at the table, it would leave marks in the wood.

I've been seeing a lot of moms on here raving about this one. How portable is it? My mom's side likes to get together frequently, and I tend to go over to friends houses often so I need something portable too.
