3D ultrasounds/early gender detection

has anyone done the 3d ultrasound as an early way to sex the baby? I knew a girl who told me she did one around 12 weeks somewhere near brockton i thought she said ( i dont know her anymore). I thought the gender parts don't even grow til about 12 weeks so i dont know if thats entirely possible. Whats the earliest anyone has heard of for places that do it around here?

I don't know the earliest you can really see. I thought it had to be at least 16 weeks or so. I had u/s at 12 weeks and the tech said there was no way to be able to see sex at that week but that was a regular u/s not a 3D. We can find out in December. Counting the days!

We had a "first look" or NT scan at 12 weeks at my doctors and the tech was actually so confident about it being a boy and girl. Told us she was only wrong once (something about the angle of the dangle haha). She "guessed right. Baby B is a girl and Baby A a boy.

my NT scan is at 13w1 day. I've had the tech before, she's really nice, and funny, but very strong willed... so either she takes a peek or not.... i'll have to try to schmooze her ;O)
