I'm planning our client Christmas party and we're planning a champagne toast. My boss likes Veuve Cliquot, but that's no longer available. This is what the manager offered me:
Blanc De Blanc, Schramsberg, California 58
Henriot Souverain, Reims 90
Brut Rose, Pommery, Reims 100
Brut Rose, Schramsberg, California 75
Brut ?Franciacorta?, Bellavista, Italy 105
Any opinions? Or any idea which might be most like the Veuve she wants?
Thank you!
Re: Sona-wine help
Well, Veuve is actually Champagne. Your only other blanc de blancs actual Champagne option is the Henroit (and sweet mother of god that is quite the mark up on that bottle, lol!).
Your two brut roses aren't going to be like Veuve. So your best options are the Blanc de blancs Schramsberg or the Henroit. Persoanlly I'd go wtih the Schramsbuerg brut rose since I like that the most of your options. Henroit if he wants actual Champagne, the Blanc de blancs Schramsberg if he doesn't care if it's actual Champagne because it's a better wine imho.
