Help me plan dinner for large group downtown!

This is for DH's holiday party. There will be about 25 of us and it has to be downtown. It doesn't have to be a private room but it has to be a big enough venue to accommodate such a large group. Bonus points if you can think of a fun activity as well. They did karaoke last year, for example. TIA!!

  • It might be too late to get a reservation there, but Highball. You can do karaoke again and/or bowl.
  • 219 West has an area that's seperate from the rest of the bar/restaurant--it's up a few stairs, but is open (like a loft).  I have attended an event where they'd reserved that part, and had a dedicated bar as well as a bunch of buffet-style small food options like sliders and lettuce wraps.

ETA: I've also attended a private event at the Belmont, in an area they call the Dakota Lounge.  It has a seperate entrance from the main bar/restaurant, and also has a dedicated bar.  (The event I attended required wristbands for entry, so it was easy to keep the party private.)  I don't recall there being food, but I'm sure they have food there.

Or, what about a Central Market cooking/wine tasting class for everyone?  Not really a mingling opportunity, but there would be an activity.

  • Oh these are all very good suggestions! Thank you!
