What do you do if your kids are making annoying noises, or maybe saying the same nonsense stuff over and over? Like to the point you are going to lose your mind or you can't do stuff or it is just annoying?
For instance if DD makes sound effects on and on, or she just spent several minutes shouting "baby BIP!!!". I'm trying to get ready to go out, trying to get the kids fed, etc. and it is just a major distraction and annoying. I reach a point where I can't think and can't hear myself over the relentless chatter.
What do you say? I've asked her to please be quiet / quieter for a while, but she will often ask "why". Obviously it is because it is highly annoying and I want to rip my hair out, but how do you politely keep these crazy sounds under control?

I love these two beautiful children!
I'm just honest with them.
"Hey, guys, that repetitive noise is really making it hard for me to concentrate, and I'm trying to ______________ (whatever I'm doing.) I'm going to ask you to quiet down and find something else to do now."
If they persist, I say, "Listen, I asked you to be quiet. If you can't find a way to control your voice, I will either have to find some chores to keep you busy, or you will have to go outside/to your room/whatever. But the noise needs to stop. NOW. Your choice."
You don't have to tolerate an insufferable and annoying noise from them just because they're children and you're the mom. On the other hand, I try to use this only when I'm truly annoyed and their noise is truly over the top. If it's really not bothering me, I let them go for it!
