She named her daughter Frances but is calling her Frankie. Love it. Might be a new guilty pleasure name!!!

    I love Frances. I worked with a guy that had a little Frances Pearl... swoon! I'd totally use this if my dear friend wasn't planning on Francesca nn Frankie. Sigh.

    I love this name and I'm a huge fan of the nn Francie. Frankie doesn't do it for me!

    I wanted Frances as my DD's first name.  It was to honor my Dad and Great Grandfather (both Franks). 

    BUT, it could be shortened to a NN with a Y at the end (my personal rule to that I used to get out of many a stupid name that my DH threw at me).  He got me on that.

    So instead it is her Middle Name.  And I call her that every now and again.

    My MIL's mn is Frances!  It isn't my style so we aren't going to use it in any way...

    Same here!  We were thinking of using it for a mn.... 

    I like Frankie as a nn but NOT Franny......
