2.) Take your baby in the bathroom with you and close the door. Turn the shower up as hot as you can get it, and sit with the baby in the bathroom and have him breathe in the steam for about 10-15 minutes.
We have our first right now as well .... Thanks MIL for sharing your cold and not telling me about it until you are 2 inches from his face. Good gawd woman!
Awww:( I'm sorry she didn't show restraint!! I keep telling myself that this was inevitable and that it's good for his immune system to fight off germs but it's so hard to see them under the weather especially since there isn't a whole lot you can do for them!

We're experiencing our first, too. Apparently he's the happiest he's ever been at daycare, though. They said he laughed all day at everything. Go figure. Maybe the booger face is his favorite.
I'm not too familiar with humidifiers, how close to his PNP should I have it? Or will it work just being in the room in general?
Just the room in general. You don't want humidifiers too close, because they'll give off hot or cold air, depending which kind you have. Then you have to figure out how to dress them accordingly.
Saline drops, snot sucker, and plenty of fluids, and sleep at an incline. This is what my pedi told me for DS. He just got over his first cold. I had him sleeping in his swing and kept the swing in my room next to the bed.
Re: first cold:(
1.) Humidifier in the room at night

GL and hope he feels better!
Thank you!!
