Black Friday shopping with LO

I'm one of the crazy ones... I love Black Friday shopping. My sisters and I always go.  This year we are planning on going to Target at midnight when they open.  My plan is just to wear DS in the moby wrap (which he loves) and let him sleep through the whole thing. 

However, DH isn't convinced that's the best idea.  He is worried about DS and his sleep schedule and "all the crazy people."  

What are your thoughts on this topic?  I would bet that DS sleeps through the whole thing and I am really not worried about crazy people.  We will not be in a stampede and no one is going to attack us.  Are you going to go Black Friday shopping with your LO

 

And DS sleeps with me and nurses throughout the night so I don't think leaving him with DH would be the best idea.  Plus DH is a heavy sleeper so it wouldn't be safe for them to bed share like we do.

You are B R A V E!!! I hate the crowds during a normal weekend, so black friday isn't for me...and with a baby WHEW!!! You are THE super mommy!!

I wouldn't go with my LO, but I wouldn't take him anywhere that late. The only exception for me would be a person's house or our car traveling somewhere.  

I'd leave my LO with Dad if I wanted to go.

I Plan to go for sure but LO will stay home with DH.

I'd just leave him at home.  People are crazy in those crowds and if the baby can't sleep with all that excitement you're just going to wind up with a cute, overtired mess.

Last year I went out and did some of the late night black friday shopping - and I remember seeing crying babies with their moms standing in the checkout line and thinking they were nuts. (no offense!)

 Last year DD stayed at home with my DH while I went shopping. If I go this year, DS will stay at home with him too. I would be miserable out shopping with my DS, who would be happier asleep at home. DH is legally deaf, but if DS wakes up before I get home to feed him, I'm pretty sure my MIL will hear him since we'll be staying with them for Thanksgiving.

I will be shopping on BF, or well, like you Thanksgiving night.  I will be leaving the little one at home with my DH.  I do not want to have her out in the crowds, and the chilly weather.  I have never experienced crazy people, but people do push a bit and it would just not be enjoyable for my DD or myself!

DS will be staying home with DH--sometimes the pushing does occur and I wouldn't want DS with me if that happened.  I once got pushed while grabbing maxi pads on Black Friday!!

Hmm....  maybe I will just leave him with DH.  I don't plan on being out too late do DH should be able to handle it, right?  All I know is that if DS doesn't sleep while I'm gone someone is going to be cranky and whiny when I get home, and DS might be too
