When should I take my childbirth class?

DH and I have decided to take an all day Saturday childbirth class.  The Saturday childbirth class is only offered the last Saturday of the month.  Since I am due at the beginning of April I think it would be best to take it in January or February.  My question is should I wait until the end of February or can I take the Jan. class?  Does it really matter?

I'd probably take the class at the end of Jan, but I don't know if it matters that much!

I called last week out of curiosity, I wanted to know what the dates were for January. The hospital told me that they probably wouldn't have a December or January class due to lack of interest, and that the past three months classes have been cancelled because of the same reason. So, I signed up a little earlier than I wanted to (in November), but at least I will be able to take the class.

The hospital where I will be delivering recommends having the child birth class and hospital tour completed by 32 weeks.

We're doing our childbirth classes on 2 Saturdays in January and our hospital tour right after Xmas.

We're doing 2 Sunday classes Nov 16th and 23rd and I'm due January 1st. ?My OB's office recommends completing them 4-8 weeks before you are due, lots of room for choices!
