getting scared...

So for awhile I'd feel flutters every couple hours since week 10. Well I haven't felt those flutters for almost a week now, and I'm not feeling kicks. I guess I just need some peace of mind to know they are ok in there! My last doc appt was 2 weeks ago and feels like a lifetime ago! We have another appt wed. and I don't know if I can feel this way for that much longer if I don't feel something soon! I know it's early but I feel like with how big I am I should be feeling something! When did others start to really feels kicks? and has anyone had the flutters just disappear? My husband says I'm crazy, and maybe I am. But I'm not one to get freaked out, I'm very easy going and this just has me concerned!

  • :/It's probably a good idea to talk to your dr about not feelign anything. they may want to check you out just to make sure everyone is ok in there :) Praying:)
God gave me a double portion for my inheritance with my little Mighty men :) 9/19/10 Baby A born at 1:47 am 6lbs 14oz, 20.5inches long. Baby B born at 3:20 am 6lbs 6oz, 19.5inches long. My double blessing!:)

  • I didn't start feeling anything until closer to 23w. I don't think they are strong enough to feel kicks quite yet, so I wouldn't worry too much. But, if it will give you peace of mind, you could call your dr and see what they say.

  • I went through a similar thing with Miss J and we found her placenta had moved anterior and was buffering all of her flutters and wiggles..Miss G's placenta remained posterior.

  • With my first I didn't start feeling him until after 20ish weeks like PP said, but with the twins I knew what it was and started feeling them around 13-14 weeks.

I would think if you felt them regularly and now you don't your doctor would want you to call. Either way, it never hurts to ask.

    Let us know what happens.

  • I really didn't start feeling flutters or kicks until closer to 18/19 wks.  If it is bothering you call your doctor.

  • Call your doctor just to give you some peace of mind. It is completely normal. Movement that early is erratic. The babies are still pretty small and depending on where they are and how they are positioned, you may not feel anything. This is why doctors don't even have you counting kicks until you're around 28 weeks. Anything before can be inconsistent. I had ultrasounds 16-25 weeks and was always shocked at how I saw so much movement but didn't feel anything!
  • I would mention this to your doctor, but for me personally before 17 weeks I barely and VERY RANDOMLY would feel them flutter. Once 17 weeks came is when it got more noticable and consistent...so try not to stress too much.

  • I didn't really start to feel them move much until a week ago.  My doctor said many times you feel twins later than singletons.  A doppler has helped us get through these months!

  • I'm 20 weeks, and haven't felt anything that I was positive was the boys. 10 weeks is really early to feel anything. It could be that the babies are laying and absorbing any movement, or the placentas are absorbing the movement.

This.  I felt the occasional flutter before 20w, but the rolling and kicking wasn't super regular until 22(ish)w.

I wouldn't worry, but I know that I was a BIG worrier when I was pg.  If it will give you peace of mind, call your doc and see if you can get in sooner this week.
