I meant to push other. We never got a reason, but I'm pretty sure I know what happened.
DD had croup, and I took her to the ER. The kid in front of us at triage had H1N1. As soon as we walked out of there I told DH I felt sick. 2 days later I woke up so sick. I couldn't get out of bed for over a week. It was awful. I needed help going to the bathroom. I was diagnosed with H1N1.
A week later we found out Gabriel was gone. I took safe meds, but I was just that sick. My Ob wouldn't say that's what went wrong, but off the record she agreed that's what most likely happened.
We had him tested for everything under the sun, and everything came back negative. It'll be 2 years on Thursday. I miss him like crazy.

I sort of found out answers and I sort of didn't, if that makes any sense at all. I know I had a placental abruption, and I also had a septum in my uterus, which more than likely contributed to my loss. She ran out of room to grow, since there was thick wall right down the middle of my uterus, and the placenta detached, which basically cut off her oxygen. I never had any genetic testing done on her, so this is only my thoughts as well as my ob, and the RE who performed my uterine surgery.

I was told that we had bad luck. We could have had pPROM, which led to PTL, or we could have had PTL, that lead to the pPROM . It's possible that I had an infection that led to the pPROM, and it's possible that the infection came from being dilated for so long before delivering.
I had a SCH in one of the placentas that my Dr's swore was gone at 17 weeks but I also think that had something to do with it--perhaps causing an infection that led to it all.
At the time of the loss, I had to be induced, so they didn't think it was a cervial issue. Fast forward to now and I'm pg. again. As a precaution, I had a cerclage placed at 12 weeks to help with my anxiety and to act as insurance. The Dr that placed the cerclage commented that while my cervix looks normal on u/s and feels normal during a routine exam, once you get in there and start working with it, it's maybe alot shorter than it looks. So maybe it was cervial afterall?
Basically, I have no idea what caused my loss but I wish it never happened.

"bad luck" -- there was nothing wrong with my cervix at my anatomy scan, I was measuring normal, and there was nothing "wrong" with my baby. Quite literally, I went into preterm labor, he was kicking my cervix, and the labor couldn't be stopped for whatever reason. Logan was just too tiny. He did great for 6 days and was even starting to feed. But he only weighed 1lb 7 oz and was just too small. He developed a perferated bowel, infections galore, and finally a 4 stage hermorrage just before he died. But inside the womb, he was pefectly healthy from what we knew.
So there were no answers. This time around I'll be monitored weekly, my cervix checked biweekly, I'll be on meds to prevent preterm labor, ect. But quite literally, there is nothing blantaly wrong with my body (so the doctor says, believing that is something entirely different).

I was told it looked like I had an infection but we don't know what kind. They told me it's very rare and extremely rare it'll happen again but I'm not so sure b/c I do get uti's a lot but my doc. wants me to see a mfm before we try again. So maybe I could find out more. I never had any problems with my other pregnancies so this was an absolute shock and my lil girl was healthy as can be.
My cord failed around 26w and that's why he was born early. He passed because of a massive brain bleed. So we have an answer as to why he passed, but not to why my cord failed.
I clicked yes because there was no shortage of answers. However, so many things went wrong it was hard to know what caused the loss and what didn't. My doctor is pretty sure the cause was an incompetent cervix. I also had preterm labor, chorioamnionitis, and the baby had a severe heart defect and possible down syndrome. In future pregnancies I will be treated for both incompetent cervix and preterm labor.
Mine is a yes, but I am actually a 3rd trimester loss (but we found out at 20 weeks what the problem was). Annabelle had anencephaly which is incompatible with life... Being on this board and reading everyone's experiences I have to say that I am grateful that the problem was so obvious. Not one iota happy about it, but grateful that we knew what was wrong with her and that there was absulutely no ifs, ands, or buts about it...
I put other. We dont know yet. I have my post pardum apt on monday and apt with the high risk ob dr on Dec 8. They took part of the placenta to run test and on the 8th they are going to take DH and i blood to see whats up with that. So i dont know. I hope they can tell us something.

My rainbow is finally here February 7, 2013
I lost Bryce's twin at 5w, and developed a subchorionic hemorrhage which never healed, and which in turn caused a partial placental abruption that cut off his nutrients. He basically starved to death.
Supposedly I had a one in a million chance of losing him, but I had what looks like the loss of my daughter's twin at the beginning of my pregnancy with her, so from now on I will be on hormone therapy while TTCing.
BFP #1 - Twin B lost at 5w
Bryce Addison I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living my baby you'll be.
Our baby boy was born sleeping on 9.17.10. He was 19w1d.
No answers - genetically normal girl, no signs of labor, nothing - a missed miscarriage at 14w, after a normal scan days before. I could tell that it made my idiot OB uncomfortable to discuss what may have happened. He told me that he hoped he could "help me get past this short period of my life." I still feel such fury about it, ten months later!
