What are everyone's Thanksgiving Day plans this year?
DH and I are having both of our families at our house for Thanksgiving this year. Not only is this the first time were hosting Thanksgiving but its also the very first holiday that our families are celebrating together. Usually we have to drive all over the place for every holiday and this year everyone is coming to us. Part of me thinks I'm crazy to be hosting my first Thanksgiving dinner for 20 people but hopefully it will work itself out!!

We are doing absolutely nothing. I've been traveling 6 out of the last 7 weeks, so it's just going to be the 2 of us - at home. Alone.
I'll be making Bloody Mary's, and we are hoping to put a significant dent in our living room project - crown molding, framing a mirror, sanding spackle, priming and painting.
I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!!!

LOL, you call our piece of land 'the 48'. I'd never heard that before, but then again, I've never been to Alaska or Hawaii. Hope you enjoy your time alone with your husband!
DH and I are hosting - this is our 4th year. We will have my parents and his, along with my aunt. DH's brother, SIL and kids come every other year and this is the not year. I like my BIL, SIL and the kids, but it is nice to have a quiet Thanksgiving. The kids are pretty wild and their parents don't discipline well AT ALL.
My mom is a huge help to me though, she will come on Wedneday night and help me wash the turkey. She makes the stuffing and the pumpkin pies. She will also make the gravy. I guess I need to learn how to do these things eventually - lol. She will even come over Thursday morning after church to help me stuff the bird!
I plan on going black Friday sjopping with my BFF starting later that night )we'll leave around 11). It's a tradition for us, but this may be the last year because neither of us is happy with these midnight (and earlier) starts. I would like to get a couple of hours sleep and I think it's really terrible that black "Friday" is now running into Thursday and people's holiday plans. I especially feel bad for the store employees and I am worried it will be even earlier next year.
Thus far, my morning has consisted of one massive pity party wherein I cry my eyes out over having to go deal with all the FH's at the Thanksgiving dinner his grandparents are throwing. Large amounts of ice cream have been consumed. Afterwards, I plan on burying my face in my horses' necks some more while I continue to cry my eyes out. Every single Thanksgiving the last few years has consisted of us being hassled about not having more kids. This year, we've already been catching crap over putting more focus on the horses than getting KTFU. If only they understood...
I hate the fvcking holidays. I want them over.
Edit: I should add that the 8 months pregnant dream last night didn't help. I've been in tears since.
Big ::HUGS:: I'm sorry your family is frustrating with hassling you on not having kids yet. I hope your day turned out ok.
**DS mentioned**
I hope everyone has had a happy Thanksgiving! Today was a special day for us b/c it was my DS's 2nd birthday. We celebrated with him while celebrating Thanksgiving with family. It was a very wonderful day for us!
