ER date set - disappointing news

Today was my final scan before the ER, which is set for Tuesday morning. I was really disappointed to see that I only had two nice size follies. One 16 and one 19. I had several more but the biggest were a few 13's. Our RE asked if we wanted to continue or change to IUI. We've had several failed IUI's and didn't want to give up at this point so we're proceeding. I'm just so upset. I feel like our chances are so low now. And with none to freeze this may be our last shot. We most likely can't afford to do IVf again without frozen embies. My DH says to stay positive but today has been pretty rough, especially with all the hormones going crazy.

Stay positive!!!  I had three 13's which caught up and were mature at ER.  The last scan is misleading, because your follies have time after it and after the trigger (which itself will help) to mature.  Good luck!

Thanks ladies. I'm hoping the 13's do catch up a little. My RE said there's a chance there's an egg in there. Hopefully they'll continue growing the next couple days even though my meeds have ended. He also said because I'm so tense during the scan it's harder for him to see everything. So maybe once I'm under, and he can do a better scan, there will be something good to see.

Dont lose hope and stay positive. You may have some good ones hidden back there and some that catch up after trigger. Good luck and hope you have a great retrieval.

According to my RE, anything over 14 has the possibility of holding a mature egg, and your 13's will surely get there! Hold out hope.

Thanks for all the encouragement. It really does help. I've been so upset all day and couldn't post here while the site was down. DH tries but just doesn't understand. And in the middle of all of it today, he tells me his brother wants to have a family get together in a couple weeks. His brother, who has an 8 month pregnant wife and a little boy who's two. He just doesn't understand how hard it is for me to be around them, especially right now.

I only had 4 showing up on the final u/s and two were below 13. But we got 6 eggs and 5 were mature. Yours may still grow too. Stay positive. There is still time before Tuesday for those little guys to grow. Be silly and visualize them growing. It just might work. I hope this is it for you.
