Does your baby smile yet- like real, full, wide awake smiles? At what age did they start doing it and how often do they smile?
Baby girl is 7 weeks old today and she does smile, but not very often, and its very random and hard to get her to smile. I feel like other people's babies are smiling a lot more than her and am wondering if it is something I should be concerned about...I know I know I can't compare her to everyone else, but I just want her to be a happy girl and her smile is pretty much the most amazing thing in the world and I'm just wondering what is "normal" at this age.

Smiles just got more frequent and responsive in the last week here. Don't worry!

DS has just gotten so he's smiling more frequently in the last week or so. The last couple days he's even been smiling in response to things (like his crazy mom singing a silly song, lol). I'm hoping the giggles aren't far behind, he does those in his sleep now.
It sounds like you're daughter is right on track with her smiles to me.
