I need to stay off other boards around here because if I see "I don't want to adopt because I want my own child" in a post again, I think I'm going throw my computer out the window.

    That kind of comment is when I know someone isn't the right person to go the adoption route.

    That phrase and the one "Now you have a child of your own" spoken to someone who adopted first and  then gave birth make me want to scream!

    Right???  Dude, this is not a philanthropy.  I am not letting this child live with me for funsies...she IS my OWN child.  Gah.

    I mean, most of it is fun, but I have caught barf in my bare hands, people.  Not always fun times in the Jermys household.  

    And on that note, for whom else would I catch barf in my bare hands?  I wouldn't even do that for my husband.  Only my OWN child.
