I called my doctor yesterday... He has set up a doctors appointment for Nov. 22nd. My husband and I have been TTC since July and a month ago when I went to the doctor he did a blood test that showed I am not ovulating.... I'm so worried that we are going to find out I can't have children. It is all I have ever wanted and since we've been together all we have ever wanted. Is this normal? Can this be fixed? I was on birth control for 3 years because when I was younger I never stopped having my period... and now its just going back to that.. So something is wrong... I'm so scared...

Re: Not ovulating
So, depending on what the blood test was (I am assuming it was a progesterone level), I wouldn't be scared just yet. Anyone can have an anovulatory cycle, and if the timing on the testing was off, it could be wrong.
You have only been TTC for 5 months. Not the time to be scared yet. Give it until you've been trying for a year.
In the meantime, get the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility and start charting if you're not already.

Thank you so much for writing. I'm just starting this and I hope to learn so much and it's amazing how much I've learned already from others posts and blogs.
It's just that I'm beginning to have my period non-stop again... and its not like a real period.. its just discoloration for weeks at a time...

Thank you, I am so blessed to have found this website. It is teaching me so much. I felt so alone not knowing anything about pregnancy or trying to get pregnant.
